What We Do

Matter
Matter is a concept and strategy firm that combines design, publishing, marketing, communications, and experiences. Think of it as a concept group where everything connects through design. Our work has been awarded international design awards, generated millions of dollars to local economies, and has been recognized for industry excellence in the Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, CNN, House Beautiful, and TEDx.
Matter Studio
A design firm and branding group headed by industry leaders with backgrounds in print, media, marketing, analytics, and communications. Utilizing our design expertise, we craft the life behind brands – making them unique and relevant. We draft concepts across all disciplines – print, digital, product – and analyze audiences. And then we establish the vision through print, web, marketing, advertising, communications, social media and targeted digital campaigns.
Environments
Matter implements design ideas into tangible experiences. From restaurants to large mixed-use real estate developments, we transform design theory into livable, achievable spaces. These immersive environments combine our love of design with real world implementation. We believe these two components – design and implementation – are central to creating connections between people, brands, and ideas. Our most notable environment is Hampstead, a new urban community encompassing residential, work, civic and lifestyle. We believe in the power of building community through design.
Products
Moving further into the fine details, we work across a variety of industries to create products. From residential homes to architectural plans, interior design to food and beverage spaces, we have built a diverse portfolio of experiences and products. We work with some of the region’s most innovative chefs, developers, and designers.
